The beginning of the tale: The oasis garden and the test of trustworthiness
In a lush oasis surrounded by golden sands on all sides, tall palm trees laden with the finest varieties of dates rose high, and the boy Omar helped his father water their small farm every day after the afternoon prayer.
On a hot summer afternoon, while Omar was walking alongside the garden of his neighbor, the righteous elder, his attention was drawn to a ripe date bunch hanging outside the garden wall from a tall palm tree, with its fruits falling on the path and a fragrant aroma enticing him to taste.
Omar felt hungry and thirsty, and he reached out his hand towards the fallen dates on the ground to take them secretly, but a faith-inspired thought suddenly illuminated his heart, reminding him of his mother's advice that the fruits of others are only permissible with their permission and satisfaction.
The young boy's stance: Blessing in earning lawful income
Omar quickly withdrew his hand and sought forgiveness from his Lord in his heart, and he resolved not to let anything from the garden enter his stomach without the owner's permission, even if it was fallen on the roadside.
Omar carefully gathered the fallen fruits in his garment and went directly to the garden gate, knocking on it politely. The righteous elder came out, surprised to see the boy at this hot time, so Omar spread his garment and informed him that he had collected the fallen fruits to return them to him, preserving his right.
تهلل وجه الشيخ بالفرح وقال له متأثراً: "بارك الله فيك وفي من رباك يا بني؛ إن من ترك شيئاً لله عوضه الله خيراً منه"، ثم وهبه سلة مليئة بأطيب أنواع الرطب وأمره بمشاركتها مع أهله، داعياً له بالبركة والتوفيق.
العبرة المستفادة والدروس التربوية
مراقبة الله في السر والعلن: تعليم الطفل أن استشعار رقابة الخالق يحميه من الوقوع في الخطأ حتى لو لم يره أحد.
حفظ حقوق الجار وعدم التعدي: غرس أهمية استئذان الآخرين قبل أخذ أي شيء يخصهم مهما كان صغيراً أو بسيطاً.
عاقبة الأمانة والرزق الحلال: إدراك الصغير أن حفظ الأمانة يثمر بركة وسعة في الخير ورضا من الله والناس.
عاد عمر إلى بيته فرحاً بما قسمه الله له من رزق حلال ومباركة، وقص على والديه ما جرى وهو يشعر بفخر وسعادة غامرة، ثم استلقى على سريره وهو يقرأ أذكار المساء، مستسلماً لنوم عميق ونفس مطمئنة.
